Our Educational Mission
The mission of Landmark Christian Academy is to educate and train the whole student - physically, socially, intellectually and spiritually. Because every child is unique, we believe his or her education should be custom-made, with just the right amount of encouragement, challenge and accountability. Landmark Christian Academy is an extension of the Christian home, and the local church, in training young people with an emphasis on eternal values. Our staff is dedicated to working closely with parents in the training and development of the whole child. Our goal is to train Christian youth in the principles of God's Word, stressing such vital areas as:

Educational Resources
Through virtual tours, video clips, sound bytes, educational games, Internet access and much more, the computer stimulates children from grades three to 12 on a daily basis. Students are offered time away from the computer as well for classes such as speech, music, vocal and citizenship.

The highest learning achievement culminates by combining life experiences with classroom teaching. Our students are given the opportunity to experience learning outside the classroom in various ways. Our large, modern gymnasium and competition-grade sports equipment allow all upper class students to participate in a competitive athletic program.
The girl's volleyball team and the boy's basketball team enjoy the competition and fellowship of other private schools in Christian league play.
The vocal ensembles from each grade level sing at various functions during the school year. Field trips throughout the school year further enhance each grade level's learning experience and reinforce classroom concepts.
Our students develop strong public speaking confidence and creative presentation skills through speech classes, individual coaching and in preparation for such events as the national Association of Christian Teachers and Schools (ACTS) convention. Students may compete in up to twelve different events, selected from a list of approximately 150 events.
Educational Alternatives
Distance Learning: We offer distance learning for students desiring a quality education but who are unable to attend our Academy. The same educational philosophy and standards apply, but student works from their own home computer rather than in our Academy. They communicate directly with our online school teachers as if they were physically in the classroom. Find out more about Landmark Online School here.
Home School Resources: For parents that have to work but have a strong to desire to give their children the best education possible, we also offer on site home schooling through Hope Academy. We also supply home school curriculum through Home Educator's Resource.
Our History
Founded in 1979, Landmark Christian Academy is one of the educational ministries of Landmark Evangelism Center. Billy and Doris Sales started the school and still take an active part in its development.
Leisha Pooser, principal, believes that affirmations and character building go hand-in-hand with developing a child's full potential both academically and emotionally. The skills learned through this development will enhance a child's ability to succeed and their possibilities become limitless
